Sentiment Interface

The Sentiment widget appears when the widget is added to the workspace.

EntitiesDropdown to select an entity for google search. 
Clicking on the Google button initiates a Google search for the selected Entity. 

Dropdown that enables you to change the ranking and display of the entity sentiment measurements on the graph. For more information, see section Scoring.

Rank by Significance: The graph is filtered to rank by Query Significance A measurement how well an entity matches the user's query.

Rank by Coverage: The graph is filtered to rank by query coverage- the (approximate) % of all matching documents in which the entity appears.

Rank by Frequency: The graph is filtered to rank by Frequency-The (approximate) average frequency (including documents in which the entity doesn't appear) across all documents that match the query.

Rank by Positive Sentiment: The graph is filtered to rank by Positive Sentiment-The sum of the positive sentiment counts across the matching documents.

Rank by Negative Sentiment: The graph is filtered to rank by Negative Sentiment- The sum of the negative sentiment counts across the matching documents.

Rank by Positive Aggregate Sentiment: The graph is filtered to rank by positive aggregate sentiment-a metric that displays the difference between positive and negative sentiment scores when it is positive.

Rank by Negative Aggregate Sentiment: The graph is filtered to rank by negative aggregate sentiment-a metric that displays the difference between positive and negative sentiment scores when it is negative.

 

Graph

This section defines the fields that are displayed on the graph.

Legend

The legend explains the color coding of the bar chart.  The entities are returned to the bar chart using their pertinent metrics.  For example, the green part of the chart displays the positive sentiment metrics for the entity.

Positive Sentiment: The sum of the positive sentiment counts across the matching documents.

Aggregate Sentiment: The difference between the positive and negative sentiment calculation for the entity.

Negative Sentiment: The sum of the negative sentiment counts across the matching documents

Bar Chart

When you hover over the bar charts, a variety of data is displayed depending on the applicable metric.  

Positive sentiment/Negative/Aggregate Sentiment: Displays sentiment calculation, based on legend.

Sentiment Count: The total number of sentiment counts (positive or negative) across the matching documents.

Query coverage: See above.

Query Significance: See above.

Average Frequency: See above.
