Document Types

There are three different document types: Matching documents, top documents and filtered documents.

The discussion of document types relates to query output settings and the way that IKANOW can be setup to output the results of queries and the returned documents.  

Matching Documents:

Top Documents:

You can control the "Number of documents to analyze" which defaults to 1000.  This is the top number of documents that the platform will process for a query.

You can also control the "Max documents to return," which corresponds to the Top Documents (default: 100).  

Filtered Documents:

Documents can also be filtered using a diverse set of criteria.   For example, you can filter specific entities and associations (sub-objects of the document JSON type).
