Simple Query Bar

The simple query bar appears on the home screen of the User Interface.

Use the simple query bar to execute queries against selected sources.

Entity Suggest

This drop-down list appears when you start to type a query.

 

Description

Use the Entity Suggest drop-down to more effectively complete your query.  Entity Suggest returns suggestions using the following categories.

Advanced Query Builder

This query builder displays when you click on Advanced from the home screen.

Description

Use the advanced query builder to build sophisticated queries to run against your sources.  You can combine entities/events with locations and specific times (date).  You can import and export queries, and review any previously entered query term settings.

Click on plus sign to display Add Search Term

 
Query Term Settings

Displays any previously entered query terms.

You can place a checkmark next to "As Text/Date Lock."
ImportClick on import to import an advanced query file. 
ExportClick on export to export an advanced query file. 
SearchClick on search to run the advanced query against the sources. 

Add Search Term

This search term builder is displayed when clicking on the plus sign from the advanced query builder.

 

Description

Use the search term builder to build advanced search terms using search Term/Entity, Event, Location, or Time.
