Manage User Groups

The Manage User Groups screen appears when you click on User Groups from the Manager.




Description:

Use Manage User Groups to Add new User Groups and Edit existing User Groups.

FieldDescription
Display nameDisplay name of the User Group.
Status

Status of the User Group:

Active: User Group account is active

Disabled: Data Group is not active, but has yet to be deleted from the system.

Pending Delete: Awaiting administrator approval to be deleted.

IDSystem generated unique identifier.
DescriptionDescription of the User Group.
Actions

Possible actions:

Edit.

Add/Edit User Group

The following fields appear when you click on Add/Edit User Group.


FieldDescription
NameName of the User Group
IDSystem generated unique ID for the User Group.
Owner

User that is assigned as owner to the User Group.

Owner IDSystem generated unique ID for the owner of the User Group.
DescriptionOptional description for the User Group.
User Options

isPublic: User Group is publicly viewable within the Threat Analytics platform.

registrationRequiresApproval: All registrations require the approval of the User Group Owner.

usersCanCreateSubCommunities: Enables user registered to the User Group to create sub-groups.

usersCanSelfRegister: Enables users to register themselves to the User Group. If "registrationRequiresApproval" is enabled, the self-registration will require the approval of the User Group owner.

User & User Groups Picker:

You can use this UI element to add Users and other User Groups to your User Group.

All: All selected users and user groups.

Users: Selected users.

User Groups: Selected user groups.

All: All available users and user groups.

Users: Available users.
