Overview

Users and User Groups are assigned to Data Groups in order to grant access to the data that is ingested into the platform.  Data Sources must be are associated with a Data Group Groups at source creation time.

Data Groups

Adding Data Groups

You can add data Data Groups to the platform to enable data access for data sources.

To add a data groupData Group

  1. From the Threat Analytics ISA Dashboard, click on the gear symbol at top right. 
  2. Click on Data Groups.
  3. Provide Name, Description and descriptive tags for the Data Group.  The unique ID will be auto generated by the system on Save 
  4. Click on Save New.  The Users and User Groups picker is displayed, enabling you to associate Users and User Groups to your Data Group.
  5. From the list of Available Users and User Groups at right use the green plus button  to add Users and User Groups to the Data Group.

5. Click on Save NewUpdate.  The new Data Group is added to the system.

Editing Data Groups

To edit a Data Group

  1. From the Threat Analytics dashboardISA Dashboard, click on the gear symbol at top right. 
  2. Click on Data  GroupsData Groups.
  3. Click on Edit.
  4. You can change the Name, Description, associated users/user groups, as well as the User Options.  After you are done, click on Update.
