The Threat Analytics Manager is an intuitive user interface for importing, configuring and sharing which enables the ingestion and curation of your Data Sources. Using the interface, it is easy to connect to your data sources, configure the ingestion settings, and assign access permissions. At source creation time, sources are added to Data Groups which contain both individual users and user groups.
Please review the Threat Analytics Product Positioning document found on the TA Product Compass page. The language used to describe our product is contained in that document and needs to drive our communication. Please review the description section, specifically. Thanks.

Before trying to create a source, you must first have created a Data Group that it will be associated to. Come up with a descriptive name for your Data Group that will identify the types of sources you plan to associate with it. |
To use Threat Analytics Manager to manage your sources.
Create a Data Group that will store your data sources, and associate necessary Users and User Groups. By using the Manager for ingestion/curation, you create a single sheet of sterilized data which can then be leveraged for analysis, reporting, and visualization.
Data ingestion is a simple 3 step process including ingestion, curation and publishing.
- Connect to your Data Source and associate it with a Data Group.
- Configure your Data Source as required, for additional curation.
- Save or Publish your data source.
This simple workflow is all that is required to store data sources in Data Groups and make them available to Users and User Groups.
These relationships are illustrated in the diagram below
